The following story illustrates how TIC helped a client in her hour of need.

"I'd like to tell you about the excellent service my boyfriend Ronney and I received from TlC/the assistance company during our holiday in Mauritius in
Late in the afternoon on the last day of our holiday, we were at our resort, and decided to go water skiing one last time before packing up and preparing
for our departure the next morning. Unfortunately, Ronney's ski came loose and got stuck in the sand. He fell on it and injured himself.
We contacted the assistance company and they immediately authorised an ambulance to come and fetch him. A doctor and nurse arrived on the scene and recommended
that he go to hospital for X-rays. He was admitted to hospital with broken ribs and we could not fly back the next morning because the doctor feared that
the long flight would put pressure on his ribs.
The assistance company then advised me to stay at the resort until Ronney came out of hospital, and they informed me that they would arrange new tickets
for us. I went back to the resort - we had already paid in advance for three extra nights and TIC compensated us, paid the hospital bills, and bought
us new airline tickets.
I just want to thank the assistance company for its excellent service. I do not let my clients go on holiday without giving them a TIC quote and now
I can give them a firsthand example of what can go wrong in a flash."
TIC contracts the services of the assistance company to provide 24 hour emergency medical assistance to all passengers travelling overseas.
